CONTEMPLATION
Often we pray for various reasons
Need His blessings in all seasons
Unshaken faith in Him is required
Over the years a belief I gladly acquired
Come! What may, I do not falter
My faith is unshaken, refuse to alter
Human I am and thus at times speculate
With happenings around am confused, so I contemplate
Gift of life! He has bestowed upon all
To live to its fullest not learnt by all
Despite being blessed with plenty
Plenty are vain and their hearts empty
Attitude with grace needed to be thankful
Integrity! One finds in handful
If served on platter to those not due
Likes of those know not to value
Accepting responsibilities makes one receptive
Coordinating with the true intent makes one perceptive
May He grant everyone, the wisdom and courage?
The perspective of praise and not disparage
Strive to inculcate gratitude, integrity and content
Thorough practice of the same, preaching ought not to be the intent
I believe what one does illustrates as to how one lives
Also I believe one’s inside can be seen by what one gives

One can only hold others in esteem; know others worth or respect others if one has self-esteem, self-worth or self-respect.
