I am perplexed, I am confused,
Human puts on so many charades
Do not the know the real face
The variation of colors a human shows
Nature’s vibrancy loses its face
Love is what some preach
Gladly for love they sacrifice all
With hatred some put a breach
Their hearts hold no trust at all
Some so brutal they tread on hearts
Some so kind they forgive and pray
Some quick to blame and not look into their hearts
Yet some endure, hope and do not sway
With parents we feel safe and loved
Often in them feel His presence too
Sometimes by friends we are fooled
Capable of being venomous too
Beasts do not hunt for pleasure
But only when they are hungry
In pardoning animals man takes pleasure
Claiming to eat only vegetables when hungry
It is shocking to see the disparity
Between what humans preach
And they do, there is so much indignity
They behave no less than a leech
Some lack in wisdom and show no gratitude
To realize what they are blessed with
Some are filled with so much gratitude
That they count their blessing each minute
As joyful as it is to see best of human nature
Equally painful it is to see the deception
As long as I am alive, why not nurture
This life with love and devotion
With my steady faith in Almighty Lord
I am sure of my contribution
Yet, because I am only human
I cannot get rid of my confusion
